Mud properties that impact the type of pump incorporate mud weight and rheological properties. For Newtonian liquids, viscosity is the main parameter portraying liquid rheological qualities. Plastic viscosity and yield point are the two parameters used to describe the rheological qualities of Bingham plastic liquids. The base required mud flow rate from the mud pump is equivalent to the base required mud speed times the most extreme conceivable cross-sectional territory of annular space during drilling.
